The Home :

 Cleaning History ...

A wide selection of cleaning machines -

Some are very unusual - rare?

The pictures show the original "pump" cleaner flanked by a hoover circa 1920 and the Bissel on the right

This one - is a mystery.  It has a cane handle.

Does anyone know?

 A "Portable"

More Cleaners - can anyone identify them?

This is an early Electrolux complete with Guarantee, dated 1951.  Was it one of the first to use paper bags?

This Electrolux is in a magnificent wooden case.  Unusually, the bottle at the bottom of this page was found supplied inside!!

Early Hoover attachments complete with cardboard storage case

More Hoover attachments in original cases

Even more!    The one on the right has all the tools (some are out of picture) It looks like a shop showcase

This bottle is a very early Electrolux Cleaning Agent

Has anyone seen one before?

This is an Electrolux shop floor display. The green neon worked until last year - think the hv could do with a clean.

Thought I'd put this here ....not a cleaner, but a good example of an early Electrolux fridge, complete with shop advertising board made of hardboard.
